阿斯本大道的手風琴演奏者

The muted earth tones in this painting really capture the quiet, rainy-day feeling of the street scene. I’ve had it hanging for a week and every time I pass by, the accordionist’s slightly hunched pose makes me stop and look.

The way the accordion player’s posture feels caught mid-song brings the whole street scene to life, and the layered cityscape behind him adds a nice depth that keeps my eye moving. I’ve had it up for a week and the warm tones still make me pause every time I pass by.

I hung this above my desk and keep noticing new details in the crowd scene—the way the accordion player’s fingers are just slightly blurred, like he’s actually moving. The paper has a nice texture that catches the light differently depending on the time of day.
