I've had this hanging in my dining room for three weeks now and I still stop to look at it every time I walk past. The way the brushwork builds up that sense of physical struggle is exactly what the artist describes in her statement. It's unsettling in the best way, and it makes my space feel heavie

The way the canvas captures the struggle between light and shadow makes the existential weight feel almost tangible. It’s hung in my hallway and I catch myself stopping to look every time I pass by.
